阿佐谷七夕祭

広重の「名所江戸百景」第七十三景「市中繁栄七夕祭」をヒントに現代の七夕祭を描いています。

阿佐谷のパールセンター商店街を中心に開催される「阿佐谷七夕まつり」は、現代の東京で最も有名な七夕祭の一つです。阿佐ヶ谷は、本作品を制作当時、作家が近くにアトリエを構えていた思い出の街でもあります。

Inspired by Hiroshige's "Shichu hanei Tanabata matsuri", No.73 from "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo”.

The Asagaya Tanabata Festival, held mainly in Asagaya's Pearl Center shopping street, is one of the most famous Tanabata festivals in contemporary Tokyo. Asagaya is also a town that holds fond memories for the artist, who had a studio nearby when they created this work.
