日の出の風景

広重の「名所江戸百景」第百八景「芝うらの風景」をヒントに、その近辺となる日の出埠頭の夜明け前の風景が描かれています。

2019年、日の出駅付近で発見された「バンクシー作品らしきネズミの絵」が非合法なグラフィティでありながら行政に保護されました。作家はその一連の出来事にインスパイアされ、日の出埠頭の枠の外にネズミを撤去しました（もしくは逃げ出したのでしょう）。広重の「芝うらの風景」にはユリカモメが描かれているので、本作には新交通ゆりかもめが登場しています。

Inspired by Utagawa Hiroshige

The theme is the Hinode (sunrise) Pier in the vicinity of Hiroshige's "Shibaura no fukei", No.108 from "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo".

In 2019, Possible Banksy "Rat with Umbrella" found near Hinode Station was protected by the government despite being illegal graffiti. EXCALIBUR was inspired by that sequence of events and removed the rats outside the frame of the Hinode Pier (or perhaps they escaped). Since Hiroshige's "Shibaura no fukei" depicts the Eurasian gull, this work depicts a new transit system, the Yurikamome (Eurasian gull).
