亀戸梅屋舗跡

広重の「名所江戸百景」第六十五景「亀戸天神境内」と同じ構図で現代の亀戸天神社を描いた作品です。

この神社には過去・現在・未来を表す3つの橋があり、ここに描かれているのは未来を表す橋です。広重が描いた当時は、遠景に松林が広がっていましたが、現代ではスカイツリーをはじめ近代的な建築が並びます。景色は変わりましたが、現代でも変わらず藤の名所として有名で、藤が咲く季節には多くの人が訪れます。

広重の「亀戸天神境内」には太鼓橋の下が青い初摺Ver.と赤い増摺Ver.が存在しますが、本作は初摺Ver.を引用しています。

Inspired by Utagawa Hiroshige

This work depicts the remains of the modern Kameido Umeyashiki with the same composition as Hiroshige's "Kameido Umeyashiki”, No.30 from "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo". The plum orchard, which was a famous plum orchard at that time, is now gone, and only 1 plum tree is planted at the site of the orchard. This work interweaves the plum tree (Garyubai) depicted by Hiroshige at the time with the modern scenery. Today, the Tokyo Skytree and other structures are visible in the distance.
