駒形二丁目遠望

株式会社バンダイ前に立つキャラクター「孫悟空」の像から臨む、駒形二丁目です。中央の日本家屋は、「名所江戸百景」を制作した歌川広重がまだ絵筆も握らぬ頃から、江戸の庶民に「精のつく食材」として愛されたどじょう料理のお店です。「ドラゴンボール」のキャラクターは食べ物の名前を引用したキャラクターが多いのですが、悟空に元気玉を伝授した強い神様「界王」は、どじょうに似た髭を持っています。もしかしたら、鳥山明先生もどじょう料理で元気をもらったことがあるかも知れません。遠望には「界王星」が浮かんでいます。

The Japanese house in the center is a restaurant serving loach, which was loved by the common people of Edo as a "nourishing food" since the days when Hiroshige Utagawa, who created "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo", did not even hold a paintbrush. Many "DRAGON BALL" characters are named after foods, but the strong god "Kaioh", who taught Goku the Genki-dama, has a beard similar to that of a loach. Perhaps Akira Toriyama may have been cheered up by the loach cuisine. The "Kaioh Planet" floats in the distance.
