並木橋渋谷川

渋谷川に架かる並木橋から渋谷駅方面を臨む作品です。かつて、この場所には東急東横線の並木橋駅がありましたが、1945年の空襲により全焼、廃止となりました。過去に想いを馳せながらも、スマートフォン越しの私たちは、今日も誰かと交流します。渋谷川のように少しずつ変化して未来へと流れていきます。

Inspired by Utagawa Hiroshige

This work depicts the view toward Shibuya Station from Namiki Bridge spanning the Shibuya River. Once upon a time, Namikibashi Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line stood here, but it was completely destroyed by fire during the 1945 air raids and subsequently closed. While our thoughts drift to the past, we still connect with someone today through our smartphones. Like the Shibuya River, it flows toward the future, changing little by little.
